Hi All,
First off, thanks for your patience and for continuing to check on our progress.
We have now been back up (as a bona-fide podcast) and also back on Cruisin Oldies Radio from the lovely Jersey Shore (thanks to Joey Prout for inviting us back) for just about a month, and the news is good! Our 5000th DOWNLOAD from Podango (which supplies the feed to iTunes) occured sometime last night! Couple that with the Cruisin Oldies Radio listenership, and we have approximately 60,000 listeners worldwide! For all who took a listen...thank you! Let us know you're on board at thoseguys@michiganoldiespodcast.com!
What's coming up? Well, the Halloween Spooktacular continues until tomorrow (Halloween). We will have a new show up November 1, which, incidentally, is the official 50th anniversary of the Mackinac Bridge opening to traffic.
For those of you who are out-of-staters, the Mackinac Bridge connects Michigan's Lower and Upper Peninsulas, making each accessable to the other. It would have been a little difficult getting that Hummer across via canoe.
Also on the way: An interview with the folks at the Dow Museum in Midland, Michigan, regarding their latest exhibit: The 1960s: A Cultural Revolution. Basically, what the Podcast is about, they're about. Music from the Beatles to Dylan, pop culture artifacts, historic photos. If you came of age in the 60s and forgot for whatever reason, take a trip to Midland and relive your misspent youth. The exhibit lasts until December 30th...tickets can be ordered through the Midland Center For The Arts website Here.
And yes, we can't escape it. The holidays are looming. We have Thanksgiving and Christmas shows planned, and we encourage you to make suggestions on what you'd like to hear on the show. I've been pondering doing a "Rust Belt 100 Countdown," but don't know if we'll have the lead time to cook the whole thing up. We may just repeat Dan Fogelburgs' "Same Old Lang Syne" until we're ready to stick our head in an oven, but probably not.
Comments? Suggestions? Post replies here or at thoseguys@michiganoldiespodcast.com.

Are you turkeys done yet? The rust isn't getting any younger.
I'm guessing you mean "where's a new show?"
Sorry about the delay. Christmas show is now up and on.
