Hey podcast gang,
Just wanted to drop you all a note to let you know we're still alive and well, just a little lighter in the wallet thanks to gas prices.
Hopefully, we'll get another Michigan Oldies Podcast episode up and posted by the end of August. Both Art and I have day jobs and duties to tend to, and the ensuing conflicts in schedules have made it hard to get together to cook up a show. As always is the case, throwing money our way helps. If you run a business that could benefit from our growing audience base, or know someone who does, contact us at thoseguys@michiganoldiespodcast.com , or call me at 989-400-8953.
Still plenty of classic shows to listen to at the site, and we're also part of the new http://www.woaponline.com/ on the weekends..4pm to 6pm Saturday, and 10 to Noon on Sunday. Check it out when you're not busy waxing the cat or something important.
If you're signed up with Facebook, my profile is up there. Everything you ever wanted to know about Tony Clark (translation: what makes this psycho tick), but you have to be a Facebook friend. Log on or set up an account at http://www.facebook.com/ .
Another podcast pioneer I'd like you to check out: In 1987, I was Program Director of WCFX in Clare, Michigan, which at the time was operating out of a really beat up building. My nighttime talent was a twenty-something CMU student by the name of Cara Stern.
Fast forward 20 years...Cara Stern has morphed into stellar Chicago air personality Cara Carriveau, who logged a number of years middays at legendary rocker WLUP, and is now middays at 101.9 The Mix in the Windy City...and she also makes time for a podcast called Cara's Basement, interviewing music and radio folk, and doing a damn good job of it. Check it out at http://www.carasbasement.com/ . It's a fun listen.
